LBMA Responsible Gold & Silver Certificates
LBMA has set up a Responsible Gold & Silver Guidance for Good Delivery Refiners in order to combat systematic or widespread abuses of human rights, to avoid contributing to conflict, to comply with high standards of anti-money laundering and combating terrorist financing practice. This Guidance formalises and consolidates existing high standards of due diligence amongst all LBMA Good Delivery Refiners.
This Guidance follows the five steps framework for risk-based due diligence of the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas adopted on 15 December 2010 and follows the requirements detailed in the OECD Gold Supplement adopted on 17 July 2012. The best way for Refiners to operationalise this Guidance is via the LBMA Best Practice Toolkit.

The ISO 14021:2016 specifies requirements for self-declared environmental claims, including statements, symbols and graphics, regarding products. It further describes selected terms commonly used in environmental claims and gives qualifications for their use. This International Standard also describes a general evaluation and verification methodology for self-declared environmental claims and specific evaluation and verification methods for the selected claims in this International Standard.
